Warranty Information

DEEP BLUE WATCHES LIMITED WARRANTY

Deep Blue Watches stands behind the quality and workmanship of our watches.

All new Deep Blue watches purchased directly from DeepBlueWatches.com include a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and requires proof of purchase.

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including defects affecting the movement, dial, hands, winding, setting, or operation of the watch.

If a covered watch cannot reasonably be repaired, or the necessary parts are no longer available, Deep Blue Watches may, at our discretion, offer a replacement watch of the same or comparable value based on the original purchase price. Any remaining portion of the original warranty will apply to the replacement watch.

WARRANTY EVALUATION

Every watch submitted for warranty service is inspected by our service team or watchmaker.

If we identify a manufacturing defect covered by the warranty, we will repair the watch at no charge for the covered repair.

If the reported issue cannot be reproduced, the watch is found to be operating normally, or the issue is determined not to be a manufacturing defect, the customer may be responsible for a watchmaker evaluation fee.

The customer may also be responsible for return shipping following completion of the evaluation or service.

Our goal is simply to provide fair warranty coverage for genuine problems while recognizing that mechanical watches naturally operate within tolerances and require routine maintenance over their lifetime.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from accidents, improper handling, misuse, neglect, impact, or unauthorized repair or modification.

It also does not cover normal cosmetic wear to components such as the case, crystal, bezel, bracelet, strap, clasp, or finish; normal battery depletion; or water damage resulting from improper use, an unsecured crown, heat, steam, or use beyond the watch's intended water resistance.

Opening or servicing the watch by an unauthorized third party may affect warranty coverage where that work caused or contributed to the issue.

MECHANICAL WATCH ACCURACY

Mechanical watches are precision instruments, but they are not expected to keep time with the accuracy of a quartz watch, smartphone, or atomic clock.

Each mechanical movement has its own manufacturer-published accuracy range. If your concern relates to a watch gaining or losing time, we kindly ask that you first look up the published accuracy tolerance for the specific movement in your watch.

Please also keep in mind that those specifications generally describe a movement when new. Mechanical watches can experience some change in accuracy over time due to wear, lubrication, magnetization, wearing habits, positional differences, and other normal factors.

A watch operating within a reasonable tolerance for its movement, age, and condition is not considered defective.

If a watch is submitted for an accuracy concern, our watchmaker will evaluate its performance and determine whether service is required.

WATER RESISTANCE

Deep Blue watches are designed with water resistance in mind, but proper use is essential.

Any screw-down crown must be completely secured before the watch is exposed to water. We also recommend avoiding hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers while wearing your watch, as heat and steam can place additional stress on seals and gaskets.

Water resistance is not permanent. Gaskets and seals naturally age and should be inspected and replaced as part of routine watch maintenance.

PLEASE NOTE: In most cases, water intrusion occurs when the crown is not fully screwed down before the watch is exposed to water. Even when the crown appears closed, it must be completely tightened to maintain the watch’s intended water resistance.

SHIPPING FOR WARRANTY SERVICE

The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the watch to Deep Blue Watches for warranty evaluation or service.

We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method. Deep Blue Watches cannot be responsible for a watch until it has been received by our service team.

Following evaluation or completion of service, the customer may also be responsible for return shipping.

OUR COMMITMENT

We want you to enjoy your Deep Blue watch for years to come.

If something is genuinely wrong because of a defect in materials or workmanship, we will stand behind the watch. At the same time, watches are mechanical instruments that experience normal wear, operate within established tolerances, and occasionally require maintenance.

Our warranty is designed to provide straightforward and fair support for both.

Nothing in this warranty limits any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

NON-WARRANTY SERVICE

We are also happy to service Deep Blue watches that are outside the warranty period or require repairs that are not covered by warranty.

If paid service is required, we will provide information regarding the repair and applicable charges. If a watch is evaluated and the repair is declined, an evaluation fee and return shipping may still apply.

SERVICE & WARRANTY REQUESTS

Watches sent for service should be reasonably clean and sanitary. Watches received in a condition that prevents safe handling or evaluation may be returned or may require cleaning before service. Please note: We are unable to repair or service a watch with broken illumination tubes.
