What is the Deep Blue warranty?

Deep Blue watches are covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover normal wear or cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, or other damage resulting from use. If your watch requires warranty service, please contact us before shipping it so we can provide the proper service instructions.

Does Deep Blue make custom watches?

Yes! Deep Blue designs and produces custom watches for military units, police and fire departments, organizations, companies, clubs, and other groups. We can incorporate your logo into an existing design or work with you to create something completely unique. For custom projects, contact info@deepbluewatches.com.

Can Deep Blue service an out-of-warranty watch?

Absolutely.

Deep Blue has been producing watches since 2007, and we continue to service many older models. Please note that parts availability may be limited for certain discontinued watches.

I need a replacement part. What should I do?

The fastest way for us to identify the correct part is by email. Kindly send clear photos of your watch—including the bracelet or strap, when applicable—to info@deepbluewatches.com, along with a brief description of the part you need.

Because Deep Blue has produced so many models over the years, a photograph is often the quickest and most accurate way for us to identify your watch and the correct component.

Can I swim or dive with my Deep Blue watch?

Deep Blue watches are designed with water resistance at their core, but always follow the water-resistance rating of your specific model.

Before entering the water, make sure the crown is completely screwed down if your watch has a screw-down crown. We recommend avoiding hot tubs, saunas, and hot showers while wearing your watch.

High heat, steam, soaps, and chemicals can place unnecessary stress on seals and gaskets over time. For watches used regularly in the water, periodic pressure testing is also recommended.

What are tritium tubes?

Tritium illumination provides a continuous, self-powered glow that does not need to be charged by sunlight or another light source.

Unlike conventional luminous materials such as Super-LumiNova, which gradually fade after being exposed to light, tritium tubes remain continuously visible day and night.

The tritium illumination used in Deep Blue DAYNIGHT watches is supplied by mb-microtec of Switzerland, a pioneer and industry leader in gaseous tritium light-source technology.

The small amount of tritium is safely sealed inside microscopic glass tubes. The low-energy radiation emitted by tritium cannot penetrate human skin, making properly manufactured and sealed tritium illumination safe for normal use.

Its constant visibility has made tritium illumination especially valuable in professional, military, emergency, diving, and other low-light environments where dependable legibility matters.

How long do tritium tubes last?

Tritium has a half-life of approximately 12.3 years, so the illumination becomes gradually dimmer over time rather than suddenly stopping.

Tritium tubes generally remain visible for many years and can often provide useful illumination for roughly 20 years, although brightness will diminish as they age.

When the tubes eventually become too dim, replacement may be possible depending on the specific watch and availability of compatible components.
